About Us

Blake N. Brantley spent the early years of his childhood in Bainbridge, GA until his family moved to Valdosta, GA in the late 1980’s.  After graduating from Valdosta High in 1994 he went on to attend Valdosta State University where he obtained a BA in History.  While at VSU Mr. Brantley was a founding father of the Xi-Theta Chapter of Kappa Sigma, and served as treasurer on the executive committee for the 1996-1997 school years.  Additionally, he was a member of the scholastic honor societies of Phi Alpha Theta, Pi Gamma Mu, and Alpha Lambda Kappa.

Subsequent to earning his undergraduate degree in 1998, Mr. Brantley enrolled at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.  While at Samford he was a member of the Cumberland Street Law Association and the Georgia Student Bar Association.

After graduating from Samford in 2001, Mr. Brantley moved to Albany to take a job with Gardner, Willis, Sweat & Handelman.  His main areas of practice were workers’ compensation defense, insurance defense, and general civil litigation.   After having the opportunity to work on several plaintiffs’ cases with Gardner, Willis, Sweat & Handelman it became obvious to Mr. Brantley that the plaintiff’s side was where he belonged.

Therefore, in November 2004 Mr. Brantley began working in downtown Albany with longtime worker’s compensation specialist Bill Underwood, Jr.  While at Underwood Law Offices, he was able to assist many individuals who had been denied or experienced difficulty in obtaining workers’ compensation benefits.  Furthermore, Mr. Brantley also litigated numerous automobile wreck cases, while at the same time carving out a DUI/Misdemeanor practice.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Brantley began providing public defender services for various municipal courts around Southwest Georgia in 2005.  Moreover, in 2008 Mr. Brantley was appointed by the Camilla City Council to be the solicitor for their municipal court.  As solicitor, he prosecutes traffic cases, DUI’s, city code violations, in addition to various other misdemeanors.

In May 2008 Mr. Brantley formed Blake N. Brantley, LLC, where he plans to maintain focus on the areas of worker’s compensation, automobile wrecks, and DUI/misdemeanors.  At his new office, he will continue his tradition of helping people who are faced with a difficult time in their life.
